I am thrilled to share my photos were published in Golden Valley Electric's January 2024 Ruralite Magazine!!

You see my face quite often online, but you may have seen me in your mailboxes recently as I was on the cover, along with my friend and fellow volunteer Trena, of Golden Valley Electric's (GVEA) most recent Ruralite! My mom, Tina Graham, took the cover photo and I have several photos accompanying the article inside!

The article highlights Neighbor to Neighbor, a local non-profit organization that is dear to my heart!! Each year, I help organize their angel tree project which gives gifts to around 60 children. These gifts are distributed with their Christmas food boxes to families throughout the Denali Borough. On the day these food boxes are assembled, volunteers from throughout the community join together to get the work done in just a few short hours!
Rachel Kvapil's article inside this issue on Neighbor to Neighbor is really so dear and does a much better job than I can do here at all that this special non-profit does to serve our community. If you don't have your own copy of this publication, you can read her article online here.

Neighbor to Neighbor's food box distribution day happened to fall on an incredibly snowy day! GVEA's Grace Wilson texted asking if myself or my mom would mind snapping a few photos for her so she didn't have to make the drive from Fairbanks. I said YES right away! I love highlighting Neighbor to Neighbor's work.
I am so thrilled at the images that were chosen and so grateful for this opportunity. (Here's the picture of me I took in the parking lot of the post office and promptly texted to Grace!!)
And yes, if you save your copy of Ruralite, I'll autograph it. ;)
Thanks for reading,
-Kami
