It's hard to believe, but the 2023 Angel Tree is already here!! We love working with Neighbor to Neighbor on their annual Angel Tree for kids in the Denali Borough. Thank you for loving your neighbor!

Each year, Neighbor to Neighbor serves families in the Denali Borough who need a little extra helping hand during the holiday season. And, the community comes together to put these boxes together and deliver them! It's such a beautiful (fun, chaotic, busy) day and I look forward to it each year.
But MY favorite part is that for families with children under 18, these Christmas food boxes contain gifts. Each family is asked for the kiddos clothes size, shoe size, (diapers size if they are babies!) and interests and needs. Several years ago we had the feedback from shoppers that they'd love to help, BUT if they knew that the kid needed winter boots, they'd rather buy something they need for sure instead of just guessing!
Over the years, we have gotten back some really beautiful gifts. I am so grateful for each person who chooses to shop and bless kiddos in our borough. It really means so, so much!
Last year, we opened up an Amazon gift list for those who wish to support the Angel Tree but don't want to choose gifts themselves, or just prefer to shop online with the click of a button. And that wishlist is BACK!! New and improved. We have different categories this year - Teen, Kids, Health, Babies and Family. For example, if you know you want to help out with our teenage category (always our hardest to shop for!!) then this is a great place for us to get some staple items that we can give! Or, if some basic health items are important for you to donate - we've got things like deodorant, bandaids, diapers and wipes ready to add to cart!
We WILL have the Angel Tree up at Three Bears beginning close to Thanksgiving! There will still be lots of kiddos on the tree there that need shopped for, and we (super!) appreciate those who choose Angels from that Tree too.
Lastly, a huge thank you to those who shop! While we don't get to see the kiddos open these gifts, I can just imagine the joy on their faces and little extra holiday cheer it brings them and their family.
