Miranda's photo session down Stampede Road near Healy was incredibly fun!! Midnight sun + cotton flowers + tundra + an incredible senior = these beautiful photos!
I met Miranda when she was a tiny little toddler at our church
...and it was surreal to be shooting her senior portraits this summer! Miranda, her mom Chris, their pup & I all headed out in Miranda's sweet ride to a local spot just outside of Denali National Park where the wild cotton was in bloom. We were a little worried that we were going to miss peak cotton photos, and thankfully we were wrong! The cotton was everywhere... and so were the mosquitos.
Miranda so thoughtfully curated her outfits for her session, choosing pieces that would pair well together on a graduation announcement card come spring. I love that level of intentionality and boy did it pay off!! She luckily found the cutest boots on Facebook Marketplace just a few days before our session and they were the perfect cherry on top of the whole ensemble.
Not only did Miranda have the cutest outfits for the evening, she also had the *best* props! Her Bronco and her dog made my job easy! Miranda declared she was in her "Miranda Lambert" era and gave the most gorgeous country vibes the whole evening. Her Bronco is full of charm & character and she gets comments on it all the time - as she should!
The Alaskan midnight sun never disappoints and we were shooting photos until nearly 11 pm! You'd never know with these deliciously golden photos. Good weather, sunny skies and just a *few* mosquitoes made this night ideal for a senior session!
As we drove home, we chatted about Miranda's future plans in the medical field. I love that she already has a gut feeling about what is the right next step for her, and can't wait to cheer her on as she pursues becoming an EMT. "Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame." - Psalm 34:5. Miranda, congratulations my friend. You are absolutely radiant.
Thanks for reading!
