I love Hatcher Pass, but it's an even more special place for Michael and I was thrilled we were able to take some photos there!
Michael's family owns Gold Cord Mine in Hatcher Pass and it is such a dear place to them! I was thrilled to be down there on a weekend that Michael was and to be able to take a few senior pictures for him! Michael is my cousin and so this was a family weekend! It was a great time to be together.
While walking about the mine, we chatted about how Michael is hopeful to play basketball in Hilo, Hawaii. The University of Hawaii at Hilo is such a good school and I so excited to see if that's the school where he ends up! They have a great basketball program and Michael spent some time there this summer.
Back to our photos! We walked around trying to find some spots with good lighting and out of the rain. At one of the spots, Michael got a rain drop straight off the roof and into his eye!! Thankfully, the rain slowed and we got some really great photos. I LOVE taking pictures up at this spot in the mountains! You can see more sessions at this same location here, here, here.
