Levi & MacKinzy's wedding day was a joyous celebration of their love. The way they look at each other, the way they smile - it's like a fairy tale come true. Witnessing their journey together has been such a joy! I'm here to take you along for the day - in pictures!
MacKinzy is my husband Dakota's sister, but because I started dating him when I was 16 and she was just 11, it almost feels like she's my sister as well! SO this wedding day was extra special as we were gaining another member to OUR family. I also had the pleasure of taking their engagement photos, which you can see here.
MacKinzy and Levi's wedding day started, as most wedding days do, with getting ready! My three daughters were flower girls and so I wasn't there for when the bridal party was getting ready but I did stop over to the girls' house to see how the shenanigans were carrying on! They were having a great time listening to music and prepping their hair.
MacKinzy and Levi's ceremony was held at In His Shadow Ministries church. They had lots of family and friends attend and there were several of moments of laughter during the ceremony. MacKinzy's step-dad Wade was the officiant and Levi's dad shared a passage of scripture, and the couple shared communion. And then it was time to announce the newlyweds Mr. & Mrs. Michael!
It was an incredibly hot day in Healy for the wedding! We were thankful to have had the ceremony indoors but to have a gorgeous day to take family formal photos outside. MacKinzy and Levi's bridal party included Levi's brothers, MacKinzy's sister and best friend as well as MacKinzy's nieces and nephews as the ring bearers and flower girls. Becuase this was a family wedding, I needed to be in some of the photos too and my mom came along to snap the photos I was in! We cruised through family photos and bridal party photos then headed to a different location to take photos of just the bride and groom.
Aren't the bride and groom stunning? The bride's dress is from Anderson's Bride in Anchorage. We had such a lovely time getting her dress and it was positively PERFECT for their beautiful day!
After portrait time, we headed to the Tri-Valley Community center in Healy. There, we celebrated with tacos, fancy Alaskan-inspired drinks and dancing. Levi's brother gave a beautiful speech and MacKinzy's best friend shared a beautfiul toast to the happy couple. Because it was so beautiful out, many guests visited outdoors and it was a lovely evening!
