It was a great day on the water with Reid - even if the fish weren't biting. His fly fishing senior photos were some of my favorite of the year!

It was so lovely spending a fall afternoon with high school senior Reid and take a few photos in preparation for his final year at our local school. I've known Reid for a long time and my first clear memory of him was when he was a tiny little dude in our local dance production that I was volunteering for. Those days were long ago and that tiny little dancing dude has grown up into an incredible young man who saves his dancing for celebrations on the court or on the ice.
Reid and I met at one of my favorite locations - a small little local stream that doesn't have much umph to it but is beautiful for photos. Reid has spent many summers working as a fishing guide and in particular loves fly fishing. I encouraged him to bring his gear and while he was skeptical of how the photos might turn out, these ended up being some of my favorites of the year! To be fair, the fish weren't biting becasue there are no fish to be found in this local stream. But you'd never know from these epic photos!! Reid was such a good sport.
We chatted about Reid's senior year and the sports he's going to play - hockey, basketball and maybe track. We talked about some of his classes and his workload for senior year. My husband coaches Reid's hockey team and it was so lovely getting to spend some time with him.
Reid, I am cheering you on this senior year!!

Thanks for reading!
