A wonderful winter couples celebration session!
More than a decade ago, when I was working at our local bank, I first saw Allison when she walked in for an interview. She's been one of my dearest friends ever since. She was in my wedding nearly a decade ago, and I was so thrilled to spend this time with her & Devin, because shortly after we took these photos, Devin & Allison headed to Las Vegas to ELOPE!!!
Devin and Allison have been together and in love for many years and I'm so excited for this newest chapter in their lives!! And was so honored to take these photos.
We met on a cold March day at a nearby creek and did our best to take photos quickly because it was so cold!! Allison and Devin were both champs - I was shivering and I had on a coat and hat + gloves!! The creek was a bit breezy so we headed to a trail nearby and snapped lots of beautiful photos. They were SUCH naturals in front of the camera and nailed their poses right away!
We were hoping for a mountain landscape but weren't sure about the road conditions, so we went to a place that in January was super easy to get to. Dear reader, it was not quite as easy this time around. I nearly got stuck, but thankfully did not! There was some snow drifts on the road, but we were still able to reach this lookout out behind Otto Lake near Healy. Here, the wind was quite dramatic!! We regularly had to wait for the gusts to chill out enough to snap even a few photos. It was still beautiful!
Finally, we headed to a place really dear to Allison & Devin where they would regularly take their beloved pup, Milo. We were again met with drifts and wind, but they were such good sports in their beautiful (COLD!) clothes!! We only took a few, but they are some of my favorites.
Devin & Allison, I'm cheering for you and so grateful for your friendship. Congratulations and cheers to this new chapter!!
